Amber, you are so amazing. Thank you, thank you for the time, effort and expense you put into creating a wonderful piece of history for each of our little ballerinas. I love how you love each and every one of our girls....it truly shows. I think these would be wonderful grandparent gifts and little ballerina gifts for Christmas. Thanks again and we love you, Kristi
. . . there was a little girl that lived in the country with lots of very fast race horses. Every night, when her chores were done, she would turn up the music on the old radio in the barn and dance among the horse stalls. The horses would sway their heads to the music as her bare feet swirled in the dirt and magic dust filled the air. It was her magic world.
This little girl grew up into a mother of two tiny girls before she took formal dance lessons...becoming a professional dancer in only two years. Her daughters grew up coloring in the back of studios. I remember lying on the hard wood floor, smelling the rosin and feeling the musical vibrations against my face. My father built her a studio, just as he helped build The Ruby Shoes Studio a few years ago...and just like the first time, there were a pair of small sisters running around. I am the mother of a pair of sisters also...I seem to be an extention of my mothers life.
Almost everywhere...I have come across a little girl, eyes closed, swaying and twirling, swirling up magic dust...in her own magic world. When I say that my goal is "keeping the magic alive" this is the magic I refer to.
My desire is to give these children...with dancing hearts...the ability to physically express what they inherently have glowing inside them. To provide a safe place for expression and creation during their early social and emotional development. To show them the strength of our differences and wonder of our bodies. To give them a strong technical foundation to take on the big dance world with great confidence. To give them the stage and let them share their magic world. Not to impress, but always to bless. - Miss Amber
